In Italian culture there are two fascinating cornerstones and now world icons: cycling and amaro. A combination that Amaro del Ciclista has been carrying on since 1814. Speaking of miologolog, that of amaro is a very ancient tradition, which in the hands of our master Miologologist Patrick Pistolesi has become a powerful ingredient for 4 really intriguing cocktails.

NIO COCKTAILS AND AMARO DEL CICLISTA

#Negronisharing Cocktail

100ML | 28.5%

Tanqueray Gin / Amaro del Ciclista / Bitter del Ciclista

We wanted to include an iconic drink with a distinctly Italian character in the box: what better choice than Negroni, the world's best-loved and best-selling drink? So we replaced the Vermouth with Amaro del Ciclista and enriched the flavour with Bitter del Ciclista. The result is a more mature Negroni, a meditation drink with a renewed complexity of taste. We have achieved deep tones, rich botanicals, and a flavour more intense than ever.

Garnish: orange peel

Food pairing: seared scallop, french fries, salted almonds, macadamia nuts, and typical Italian aperitif snacks.

#Newsharing Cocktail

100ML | 26.9%

BRANDY ST. REMY XO / Maraschino Luxardo / Amaro del Ciclista / Cocchi Storico Vermouth di Torino / Sherry Dry Tio Pepe.

The choice of ingredients hints at the fierce rivalry and proximity between Italy and France. Indeed, France boasts too a land rich in flavours and a prestigious cycling tradition. That's why Patrick chose to mix Vermouth, Amaro del Ciclista, a dash of marasca cherry, cognac - which gives a round and robust flavour - and sherry to dry the drink, giving it woody notes that blend well with all the other ingredients.

Garnish: lemon peel for a refreshing touch

Food pairing: apple strudel

Cocktail #Bikesharing

100ML | 25.0%

Tequila Exotico Blanco / Amaro del Ciclista / Bitter del Ciclista / Organic Citric Acid / Liquid Sugar Toschi

This is an Italian version of Tommy's Margarita: we mixed Amaro del Ciclista and Bitter del Ciclista with Tequila, which gives it its unmistakable exotic and cheeky touch. The Amaro provides the sweet notes that balance, while the Bitter enhances the bitterness of the cocktail. Citric acid and sugar round off the cocktail, making it very drinkable and easy to enjoy.

We can call it our revised and Italianised version of Tommy's Margarita, a great drink invented in San Francisco.

Garnish: lemon twist

Food paring: an Indian-style chicken curry accompanied by a spicy basmati rice.

Cocktail #Expresharing

100ML | 28.8%

Bulleit Bourbon / Amaro del Ciclista / Alamea Hawaiian Coffee Liqueur / Liquid Sugar Toschi.

It is a twist on the Espresso Martini cocktail, enriched with Amaro del Ciclista. Coffee blends perfectly with Amaro and Bourbon in a rich, gourmet cocktail. The American ingredient - Bourbon - is the finishing touch in a cocktail with an Italian soul: its round notes and vanilla tones blend perfectly with coffee and Amaro del Ciclista.

Garnish: 3 coffee beans

Food pairing: dessert cheese with nuts, fried artichokes.
